Adopt-a-Rock: Black Jack the Tassie Black Spinel

Sale of Goods:
The Seller will sell and deliver to the Buyer the following goods; Adopt a Rock: Custom Gem, and will provide the following services to the Seller; Custom Gemstone Faceting.

Purchase Price:
The Buyer will accept the goods and pay for the goods with the approximate sum listed in the description in AUD
a. A non-refundable deposit of $100, or 25% of the purchase price, whichever is greater.
b. The remainder of the purchase price, which will be estimated at the time of sale in the description, will be confirmed when the gem has been completed. The Buyer understands that the price given at the time of the sale is an estimation only, and may decrease or increase once a more accurate carat weight can be measured.
c. Upon completion of the gem, an invoice will be issued which outlines the final price (minus the deposit paid) and payment details. This invoice includes GST.

Shipping:
Shipping is purchased at the time of making the deposit. It is tracked express shipping with Australia Post. The Seller is not responsible for funding shipping insurance. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to convey to the Seller that they wish to have their parcel insured, and to provide the funds to do so.

THE GOODS ARE SOLD AS IS

Additional Provisions:
1. Refunds will not be given for change of mind, or if the Buyer has insisted on having a gem cut in a particular way, against the Seller’s advice.
2. If a gemstone is damaged beyond repair during the cutting process, the Seller will replace the stone with a similar stone, and the Seller will contact the Buyer. In this case, the Buyer may choose to continue with the new stone, or receive their deposit back. If the Seller cannot supply a similar stone, the Buyer will have the option to choose a different stone, or receive their deposit back. If the stone is of higher value, this will be reflected on the final invoice. THIS IS ONLY APPLICABLE TO PATTERNS THE SELLER HAS CHOSEN FOR THE STONES. IF THE BUYER HAS PICKED A PATTERN THAT IS DEEMED UNSUITABLE AND STILL WISHES TO GO AHEAD, THE SELLER WILL NOT REFUND FOR DAMAGE BEYOND REPAIR.
These 2 scenarios are the only times when a deposit may be refunded.

If the Buyer doesn’t pay their invoice in full within 30 days of the gem being completed (unless prior arrangement is made), they will void their deposit and the Seller has the right to sell the finished gem to recuperate costs.
